Have you locked your phone and cannot get in? The methods below could unlock your phone without resorting to a factory reset and losing all of the data stored on the cellphone. If one way doesn’t work, go ahead and try another. One of them will work and help you to regain access to your cellphone.
We consider it necessary to warn you not to try to unlock someone else’s phone, if its owner did not give you his permission for that.
Please note! Ways to unlock an android phone password without a factory reset will only help if the android version on your phone is below 5. If you have an android version 5 or higher, you can’t bypass password without factory reset.
Way #1: Android Device Manager
At one point, there was something called Android Device Manager. It was redesigned and renamed to “Find My Device.” The main purpose of this tool is to find the cellphone when it has been lost or stolen. However, alongside the tracking capabilities, it has three more options: “Ring,” “Lock,” and “Erase.” To do this, you have to log into your Google account. These other options can be used to get into your phone.
To easily unlock your phone with Find My Device, follow the steps below:
- Go to www.google.com/android/find and sign in to the Google account that your phone is linked to
- Pick the android phone you want to unlock.
- Select the lock option.
- Enter the new password when prompted.
- Get your phone and enter the new password.
Success! The phone has been unlocked and can be used with no issues. There was no need to erase precious data from the phone.
Way #2: Third-Party Apps
If Find My Device doesn’t work, then using a trusted third party app can be the solution. The most well known of these apps is Android Lock Screen Removal. Using this app removes patterns, pins, fingerprints, or any other things that lock a cellphone. Like Find My Device, it does not wipe data from the device.
Follow the steps below to use this app:
- Download Android Lock Screen App & connect your phone
- Select the device model
- Put the phone into download by pressing the power, home, and volume down buttons all at the same time. Then press the volume up button.
- Download the recovery package.
- Once the package has been downloaded, click “Remove Now.”
- Disconnect phone
All lock methods should have been removed from, allowing full use of it. Now just set a new password and enjoy the phone with no wiped data!
Here we have explained how to unlock android phone password without factory reset. Unfortunately, the methods will only help phones with android version 5 or lower. If your phone has android version 5 or higher and you can’t remember the password, you will not be able to unlock the phone without a complete loss of data.
